And they're cool and available and addictive. The job is almost done for us!

The French New Wave:NY Times T Style Women's by Paolo Roversi

The new issue of T Magazine speaks in a thick French accent. In addition to the cover story on the actress Eva Green, we feature a portfolio of Gallic stars, including Carla Bruni, Vincent Cassel and the euphoniously named Clémence Poésy. Elsewhere, Cathy Horyn profiles Balmain’s Christophe Decarnin whose brand of louche glamour has the style world enamored; Daphne Merkin interviews the art-world provocateuse Sophie Calle; Christopher Petkanas remembers the decorator Madeleine Castaing; and Catherine Deneueve muses on her favorite trench coat. There is also an exclusive video of the designer Agnes b. and a slideshow of the singer Sylvie Vartan’s life in pictures.

Vogue Paris Nov.Vanessa Paradis by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

To quote a lovely french: Paris Vogue, its heaven darling.
Carine Roltfeld  the former "not a star" model, the stylist for ELLE, the co-worker for Testino, the consultant and muse for Tom Ford at Gucci & YSL took the job as the editor in chief of Vogue Paris in 2001, now 7 years, Vogue Paris is the title that gets weak on your knees, we are also grateful that the coolest fashion director Emannuelle Alt is waving the fashion flag up high in here. Those are the women that dare to use Adriana Lima in an accessory editorial and Cindy Crawford in a french magazine. May we just represent all the none-french speakers to say, You Go! Girls! lol

Britney's New man lands on Red

BRANDON STOUGHTON. On the red's blackboard babie. They are already boosting about how this guy is the most googled recently. How thoughtful to remind us that being chosen by Britney Spear's time-to-time retarded mgm Team is the right away to highway, yeah, highway to no fashion week, just look at this dude, dose he look like someone will storm out in Gucci? Prada? Armani? No thank you. Red's right, they did it again..... they step wet on something that already hooked in Major models' pool.

Whether he is shooting for Vogue Paris or curating an exhibition for Amsterdam’s FOAM Museum, Hedi Slimane approaches each task with a singular vision. His signature style is iconic - as evidenced by this exclusive self portrait. It is this overarching aesthetic sensibility that makes Slimane’s work so captivating- regardless of the medium he chooses to express himself.

Whether he is documenting the controlled chaos of a Libertines concert or crafting an image of fashionable serenity the Slimane style leaves an indelible mark. Lagerfeld, McQueen, and Galliano Land on a Darkhorse Tee

We have a pet peeve, and it's graphic tees. On one hand, 99.9 percent of these cotton suckers come from Annoying Ugly–ville, while .01 percent reside in the ever-admirable Corny But Cute–land. The one you see here is by designer Andrew Randle's Darkhorse line. It's called "Project Darkhorse," and it manages to simultaneously praise and poke fun at fashion gods John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, and Karl Lagerfeld while not looking totally idiotic. It's dropping in March 2009 for $45 on DarkhorseWorld.com. The finger-wagging, eyebrow-flexing, fist-clinching threesome look like they're just short of beating each other down. Doesn't make it you wonder, who would win in

A Preview of Zaha Hadid’s Shoes for Lacoste

Some women like bags, some women like shoes. We're guessing architect Zaha Hadid is a shoe woman. Though she designed the Chanel Mobile Art exhibit — the Greatest Handbag Pavilion Known to Man opening in New York next week — she also collaborated with Aussie label Melissa on a pair of rubber shoes. Her most recent fashion collaboration is with Lacoste, also on shoes. Lacoste previewed the spring 2009 footwear at the Frieze Art Fair in London. Since we obviously didn't make it to that, we asked Lacoste to send over images, and behold! Above you see a mockup of the shoe. (Images of the actual shoes haven't been made available yet.) Hadid started by digitizing the Lacoste crocodile logo and then used this "as a basis to explore a series of surfaces with repeated patterns," according to the press release. Hadid says in the release, "The design expression behind the collaboration with Lacoste footwear allows the evolution of dynamic fluid grids. When wrapped around the shape of a foot, these expand and contract to negotiate and adapt to the body ergonomically. In doing so a landscape emerges, undulating and radiating as it merges seamlessly with the body." Is it just us or do these shoes sound really comfortable? Menswear Prices Dip; Prada Launches Cell Phone

Katie Holmes Already Has the Comme des Garçons H&M Line!

Spotted: Katie Holmes in a shirt from Comme des Garçons' H&M line. The goods don't hit the racks until November 13. We are bitter about this. First, we understand the celebrity-fashion publicity machine, but aren't we all excited enough about this line to want to buy it whether or not someone like Holmes does? Second, she can afford real Comme des Garçons — she doesn't need to wear pieces from the diffusion line she got for free. Unless she's broke too now. But still, this is injustice!

DAILY GORGEOUSNESS

You know perfectly that this gal is no perfect, But somehow she is out there to see. Yes, She is a scene.
At age 16, the young canadian took by Fashion Mentor Steven Meisel as his muse.
Age 17, Photography Genius Mario Testino put her as the only gal for Miu Miu, same year, got on the cover of Italian Vogue.
At age 18, set the unbelievable record of twice Italian Vogue Cover in a row, two months after that appeared in the iconic editorial "Aseual Revolution for W. All of them thanks to Meisel.
Age 19, having a Marc Jacobs bag named after her, the stam bag became the "it" bag immediately.
Age 20, spokemodel for Anna Sui Secret Wish fragrance and before replaced Marina Peres as the face of Giorgio for fall she was on the cover of british vogue.
Age 21, Only girl for Christian Dior and Bvlgari and renewed both contracts a year later, Meisel photographed her again, for Lanvin that time, and on the british Vogue cover at Feb then US vogue for May as one of the world's next top supermodels. Two month after that, stam was named the world;s 15th highest paid model according to forbes, earning $1.5 million in past 12 months.
The reason we blah all that out is that so you wouldnt be surprised to see the left, in fact we only picked a few memorable things out of this gal's glamorous life, not to mention the celebrities dating, scandalous law suits following and never the end rumours flying. All in all, we still think she is one of the most qualified, (one of a few high fashion models that could actually rock the VS shows) the coolest gal in this biz. And our praise is certainly not enough, Stam's decided that being taller than most women isn't enough anymore, and is studying for her pilot's license. We're kind of loving this news - it's just another in a string of models taking up interests that have nothing to do with clothes or cashing in on their face DNA (Sasha's an artist, Daria sails, Lily knows a lot, etc), which is admirable and saves us from groaning that they're busy designing for Mango or something.

On a side note, does this mean she'll fly herself to the Couture, or to shoots? Imagine the savings in production costs!

And Homegirl got a decent taste of decoration.

Hedi Slimane’s Photography Career Rages On

Hedi Slimane just signed with Art + Commerce, an agency that represents photographers, stylists, hairstylists, and makeup artists. So he's evidently going to keep up the photography thing instead of the designing-clothes thing for some time. And oh, in case you missed it, he also "created an original furniture system for Comme des Garçons," according to the press release Art + Commerce just sent out.

The ex–Dior Homme designer has shot spreads for magazines like French Vogue, VMan, and Purple and released nine books, including one about London's music scene as Pete Doherty sees it. Following around Pete Doherty sounds a lot dirtier and scarier than designing clothes, but to each his own. We just feel rather jarred by this announcement since Slimane recently hinted he plans to return to design soon, saying he's in talks with secret parties about starting his own label. Maybe that was just a big fat tease since he's doing everything but designing clothes. Next thing you know he'll be designing limited-edition iPhones and yacht interiors and photographing them for the Slimane Living coffee-table book. Which would actually be quite marvelous, but alas, not wearable. Sigh.

No "Vogue" For Brits

Remember when word got out Patrick Demarchelier did a photo shoot with Britney Spears and everyone thought it was for Vogue? But then Anna Wintour was all, "I don't think so! That bitch ain't Vogue!"? Well, not in those words, but she made it clear she's not planning on womanizing Brit anytime soon. Anyway, it turns out the shoot was for Glamour, according to E! Online's exclusive sources. They say Britney will mug for the January cover of the magazine — perfect timing for the December 2 release of her new album, Circus. We know Marie Claire and Elle have reality shows, but landing a Britney cover is so much better. That said, the January Vogue had better pad its ass because it's going to take a beating on the newsstand.

Rich and Famous and Divorce

BeTcha all already knew the divorce of Madonna and Guy Richie. On this Sad heartbreaking moment (Please stop laughing), we line up all the chichat for you to bug out after your hard day work. (Now laugh)

According to The London Paper and The London Lite, there is a lot to battle for in the former couple’s ensuing court battle. As you may recall, the joint statement from Madge and Guy’s reps emphasizes the couple haven’t agreed to any kind of settlement.

Here’s a little rundown of how their financial situations stack up as they head for divorce court.
Madonna’s assets:
Music revenue: $491,250,000
Marleybone area adjoining townhouses: $23.7 million
Two nearby cottages used as investment homes: $3.51 million
Sunset Blvd. mansion: $12.46 million
Manhattan apartment: $17.54 million
Two other London properties used by Kaballah church, including one that is the Kaballah London HQ: $9.12 million
Guy’s assets:
Movie revenue: $35 million
Ashcombe estate in Wiltshire, their country estate in west England: $17 million
The Punchbowl pub (jointly owned with Madonna): $4.39 million
In other words, Guy has a lot to gain. Madge, we suggest you give Sir Paul McCartney a call. Pronto!

We’re not quite done beating this whole Madonna/Guy Ritchie/divorce topic to death.

Divorce Lawyer to the rich and famous Fiona Shackleton left her office this morning fumbling around with some papers and her handbag.
Madonna has apparently lined up Shackleton to deal with the divorce from film director husband Guy Ritchie.
Shackleton was Paul McCartney’s solicitor during his bad tempered divorce with Heather Mills.
For his part, Guy reportedly “doesn’t want a penny” of Madge’s $600 million net worth, but after she called him “emotionally retarded” during last night’s concert in Boston, that may soon change.
Should Guy decide to go for the gold, he could receive a whopping $150 million as part of their divorce settlement. He is reportedly entitled to at least half of the $160 million the couple earned during their marriage. He could also walk away with another $70 million worth of property and maintenance payments, bringing his total payout to $150 million.

Balmain Is Effing Expensive, But We Heart the Hell Out of It Anyway

The New York Times reports that retailers aren't buying as much stock this season since everyone's broke. Well, duh. Everyone already knew that. But we didn't know about this one anonymous retail buyer who's probably going to skip out on stocking a lot of Balmain for spring since that label's cheapest T-shirt costs $1,500. It's cotton with some "artfully placed holes," while a sparkly tee cost $3,000. We mean — DAMN. That is expensive. The label's evening dresses cost $12,000 to $22,000, and jackets cost $5,000. This is a twofold tragedy. First, because we effing love Balmain (one of French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld's favorite labels) and there's no way we'll ever be able to afford it unless we trade our apartments for jackets, which might actually keep us warmer in theoretical ways. But second, because stores across the world will be deprived of Balmain hotness. To see what we mean by hotness, grab your drool rag first.

PARIS HILTON DOES ‘NYLON’

Paris Hilton gets presidential in the November issue of Nylon magazine.
Inside the mag, the heiresss opens up about fame, dogs, beau Benji Madden, BFF Nicole Richie and why she knows you hate her.

Anna Wintour Went to the Debate!

For civilians, attending the presidential debates is damn near impossible. But big campaign fund-raisers like Anna Wintour don't have to hold out a flimsy shred of hope on some college-student ticket lottery. The campaigns get to dole out a significant number of the tickets, and Barack's camp evidently gave one to Anna. (Either that or some poor assistant probably had a really awful day procuring one.) We wonder if this is the campaign's way of making up for that time they misspelled her name on the invitation for the big Runway to Change fund-raiser. Interesting how Anna looks much happier to be here than she does on the front rows of Fashion Week. And she's not even close to sitting on the front row.

Heidi Mount Replaces Claudia Schiffer in Chanel’s Resort Campaign

Confirming speculation Claudia Schiffer is no longer the face of Chanel's resort line, the supermodel has been replaced by 21-year-old Heidi Mount. Heidi opened and closed the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week, prompting us to wonder if a Chanel contract was far off. After all, Karl Lagerfeld himself has lensed the doe-eyed beauty for couture spreads in Harper's Bazaar and Numéro. This is Mount's first big campaign, and we wouldn't be surprised if she landed the spring 2009 one too, though her agency IMG wouldn't confirm it. The last time Claudia was replaced in a Chanel campaign by Stella Tennant in the mid-nineties, her bitterness toward Stella became well known, so we hope she's kind to Heidi this time around. But with Claudia out, we wonder if supermodels will reign this season as they did last? Granted Gisele landed the Dior contract and we're still in the early stages of campaign unveilings here. But maybe the big houses like Chanel are budget-cutting.

Aquascutum to Be Sold; Designers Party in Anna Wintour’s House

• Renown Inc. has confirmed rumors that it will sell its Aquascutum label. They don't know whom they'll sell it to or how much they'll charge for it, but they're warning the label's losses will be way up through the fiscal year ending in February. Takers? [WWD]

• Anna Wintour hosted a cocktail party at her West Village home for the ten finalists of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, including Alexander Wang and Richard Chai. Each designer had to create an outfit for a date inspired by a different species of butterfly, L'Oréal eye shadows, and an evocative word. [Fashionologie]

• Topshop is opening seven stores in Japan over the next three years. Judging by the progress on the one store they're opening here, we'd guess three years really means 23 years. [WWD]

• Helmut Lang's first solo art exhibit, "Alles Gleic Schwer" (which translates to "Everything Equal Heavy"), features mixed media and sculptures made out of mahogany and tar and is now viewable online through November 2. [JC Report]

• Lisbon Fashion Week is happening right now. Designer Dino Alves's collection was inspired by the heart and included a plastic top for men with printed veins. [Dazed Digital]

Drew, the Flag and American Vogue

Forgive that silly cover, now we are in love with this. This is Drew! She is glowing isnt she!
Also Vogue got a really strange interview with Paris Hilton. And just like me, lots of people dont know why the white house has to be pink and she has to wear a bikini. I kinda understand the latter cos that's hilton's, the girl has to do something stupid and with sex at the same time.

Shut up to who Now?

Sometimes I think some tfs users are just pushing it too hard, they are so involved with the idea that they love LOVE fashion! Based on that dreaming-others-lives point of view,so they think they are allowed to judge anyone for the sake of anything.
Com'on, Who the hell are we playing with, 80 percent of those losers dont even know what a 10.000 dollars check looks like, not to think that one piece of them ever taste the glamour Vogue closet. A Galliano Gown would take their whole year salary, and you leave these people to say what is boring for fashion?

Fashion is for everyone! So ture, that Everyone who has a warm heart and sharp eyed of life and this world. Who talks while they know absolutely what the hell they are talking about. Who knows their stuff, who is creating their own worlds, Fashion is not based on some chubby little fat kids whos lurking around about town and thinking about why no body wants to fuck her/him. If you dont like it, change it, if you cant, shut the fuck up.

What's so boring about the shots? that the photographer captured an early morning fresh moment with the top notch new yorkers and their muses? That the people in it graced a chillax and confident gesture? Give yourself a break! Caroline Tretini is a beauty from the whole other planet and the designers are the people who make what the new york fashion stage looks like today, you are lucky to have them with you ! That's what lines fashion, if New York Milan Paris London all doing it like the same, you'd be holding only one Vogue not 4 you sucker!

Just Lay back and think before you speak. Just try to calm down before you draw yourself as the infamous fashionistas or who's who a holy crap!

See you next round kids, or your ashes of fashion....

Gisele Bündchen Lands Dior Spring 2009 Campaign

At last some big campaign news has been confirmed!
Gisele Bündchen will be the face of Christian Dior for spring 2009. The news leaked on her blog, which, unlike some fashion-philes, she doesn't profess to write herself (unless she's pulling a Suede and enjoys referring to herself in the third person, but we're pretty sure that's not her style). According to her blog, Gisele flew to Paris for the shoot. (You can see a shot of her at baggage claim in Charles de Gaulle airport here.) Nick Knight shot Gisele for the spring and fall Dior campaigns in 2004. Dior probably decided to shell out the big bucks for a commercial face this season to encourage consumers to shop. Because one of life's great truths is every girl wants to be exactly like Gisele. Really — what about her life sounds bad?

And Grapes hearing Tim screams... Pick up the damn phone you lit prick! lol

Paris of the Orient

New York, London, and Milan might preoccupy the fashion industry for most of the fall, but another world city is slowly gaining ground. Shanghai, China's most cosmopolitan city, is on the radar for many designers as they recognize the importance of the Asian market. They are quickly opening boutiques in this city of over 20 million (with a large population of Westerners), in what has been called the "Paris of the Orient." In fact, Ferragamo hosted its 80th Anniversary Celebration here in March.
While stores are scattered in neighborhoods throughout the city, West Nanjing Road is home to several notable retailers. With Hermès , Jil Sander, Zegna, Lagerfeld and Prada, the list of boutiques at Plaza 66, a very upscale mall on this impressive strip, might be confused for a trip down Madison Avenue.
One great find at Plaza 66 is I.T., a unique store carrying a broad range of clothing from a number of houses including Comme des Garcons, APC, Alexander McQueen, and DSquared, plus an impressive mix of lesser-known designers that get invited to show their collections here.
For those of us with slimmer builds, these luxury boutiques are especially welcome. Since Asians are typically less stocky than Westerners, it's much easier to find smaller sizes, not to mention the fact that there's a greater emphasis on menswear here than in most cities around the world.
For example, a trip to an Hermès store in Manhattan wasn't fruitful when I visited a few weeks ago looking for a French cuff shirt with a 14.5 inch neck. The associate told me I'd have to wait a month or so while they searched for the shirt at boutiques across the globe. Here in Shanghai, however, smaller sizes are the norm, and I was able to find that shirt with relative ease.
Don't expect bargains, though. Prices are on par, if not more, than they are stateside. A beaver-lined Vicuña sweater by Loro Piana sells for 226,900 RMB, or nearly $34,000 USD. Sure, you might be able to get a similar sweater at Loro Piana on the Upper East Side but where else can you buy it and walk down the street to have a lunch of jiao zi (dumplings) and pi jiu (beer) for less than $2? --BRANDON FELDMAN

Things about Ascot.

Recently a reader of this blog asked me for my thoughts about reviving the ascot. My reaction? My gut feeling is that I'm not a fan, but after poring over dozens and dozens of photos -- both past and present -- I'm more inclined to say that I do like the ascot, albeit on very few men. My former impression comes from seeing too many men wearing ascots in ways that just don't work: too stuffy, too literal, too nostalgic, too ambitious, etc. What I can say about the men I do like in ascots is that they wear them on their own terms, as a natural extension of their own life and style. I am also more attracted to today's men wearing an ascot in a messier way. The ascot has such formal connotations that its hard to imagine seeing one in all its perfect pinned-down glory look at home even at the swankiest of occasions in this day and age. They're better off worn in a more laid-back fashion -- under a sweater, not quite tied right, and only on a chilly morning or evening, to suggest that the ascot does in fact have a function, apart from standing out in the crowd.

Adam Heyer -- gangster, accountant, and member of "Bugs" Moran's gang -- wearing a traditional ascot. Heyer was gunned down in Al Capone's hit, known as the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Something about a gangster in an ascot is just brilliant. Chicago, 1929.

Jeremy Piven celebrating his Emmy for best supporting actor in Entourage. I have to admit that I would never have imagined him in an ascot, and I never would have recommended it, but he totally makes it work. Los Angeles, 2006.

BOND, JAMES BOND

The Barack Obama Cover bothers you to death? Well, Mr Bond comes for the rescue.

Cool, calm, collected: Daniel Craig's 007 may be a smooth assassin, but surviving a $230 million epic set in six countries requires a quantum leap of stamina and brute strength — not to mention a few stitches.

LARA STONE: YES I THINK I'M SEXY

Alright! Listen up kids! Now Lady Stone got an I-D cover, for the long-time famed sexy beauty and a hard working girl, she deserves it.
So, we think A fat posting is a must. Here we go :

i-D interview with Lara Stone.

Lara Stone sits with bleached eyebrows lowered to eye level, cheeks sucked in and grunts in her direct Dutch drawl, "will you stop asking me questions about my tits?" "Oops sorry, but the world seems rather obsessed with them..."

Since Lara shot with Carine Roitfeld for French Vogue three years ago, the then unknown model - who had been working for some 10 years in the game (which marks her decidedly long in the gappy tooth by fashion standards), has turned the fashion world upside down thanks to her negative attitude, her imperfect teeth and those enormous, perfectly formed and magnificent breasts. They are a powerful force, cover stars in their own right, they could turn gay men straight, straight girls gay and hopefully mark a decided turn in the trend for skinny girls in favour of a more powerful female form, with a little meat hugging their elegant bones. Lara's shape is loud and proud, so get used to it. She is what men want to be with and what most women would want to look like, but ever since Riccardo Tisci paraded her down the catwalk to walk for Givenchy couture, debate has been fuelled by burning bras the world over, as to how, where, why and who exactly is this girl?

Born in the small village of Mierlo in the southern part of Holland, Lara was trouble with a capital T ever since she discovered her sexuality and hit puberty with a baseball bat and duly knocked out all the men in the local town, as she states rather matter of factly, "My mother tells me of when I was 10 or 11 and I would wear really tight, short skirts and crop tops. All the local men would wolf whistle and stop and stare, but I didn't realise why at the time." Whether fact or fiction is by the by, because such raw, wanton sexuality - dressed up or down - cannot be contained. She is Brigitte Bardot, Ursula Andress, a blonde Betty Blue era Beatrice Dalle and voluptuous '70s porn star wrapped up in one perfectly formed European package. She could've and should've been cast in early Paul Verhoeven films as the female counterpart to a rippling, blonde, thugged out Rutger Hauer. During her formative years, Lara's interest in boys was neatly surpassed by her interest in men. "The boys in school were all too young for me." She was drawn to older men, partly she says, due to her genetic makeup and family background, "My dad is 20 years older than my mum." Lara would date men of 10, 15, 20 (even 30?) years older, but she has never been interested in the idea of a sugar daddy, this is all about unabashed, unashamed, primal lust and pure basic instinct. "Why would I want older men for their money? I can afford to pay my own rent!"

It was on a family holiday in Paris where Lara was scouted with the promise of becoming a fashion model. "I was aged 13 or 14 in Paris on the subway and this woman who was married to one of the scouts in Paris asked me to be a model." This didn't faze or interest Lara. Such petty things as fashion and clothes hold little interest to her or her family, but she still entered a modelling competition and duly... lost. "Back in the day I was really skinny and really tall. So everyone would make fun of me, I had funny teeth and was way too tall, way too skinny."

Back home at school, the R's left grumpy old Lara somewhat bored and the devil will make work for idle hands to do. Her teachers would rally against her and upset her no end, which had the cause and effect of landing Lara in hot waters with the authorities. "I grew up in a little village, it was very boring, very small, a thousand people, I didn't get along with my teachers very well. Apparently, I was always causing trouble. I don't know what trouble I caused, it wasn't that bad. They had enough of me." Aged 16, she arrived at school only to be told to do an about turn and head on home. She had been expelled. "It wasn't one incident which led to my expulsion, more like a series of events, my teachers were rude to me, so I was rude back." She remains vague about the experience but insists it was nothing to do with fisticuffs; she is a lover, not a fighter. "I'm not a fighter. I'm not strong enough to fight."

The modelling continued and she upped sticks, left her large family and moved to Paris. Following a few years of being another jobbing, good looking girl on the modelling circuit, she switched agencies after a seven year itch and went for another casting, but this time at Givenchy, where Riccardo Tisci, (with his impeccable taste) clocked Lara and straight up speed dialled French Vogue Editor-in-Chief Carine Roitfeld, telling her of this fabulous new creature he had just discovered. "When I went to see Riccardo, he called Carine and said 'Oh my god you have to meet this girl', I met Carine, the next day we were working together and we've been working together ever since." The rest is fashion legend and history in the making. Together Lara and Carine have made some of the most potent, challenging and sexy fashion images known to man. "Carine is amazing, she's really nice, a little crazy but in a good way; she's always fun. She's definitely one of my favourite people to shoot with." During the shoot Carine bleached Lara's eyebrows, which remain a signature to this day. Even though she dyes her brows, she doesn't dye her hair. From that point on, Lara was walking 70 shows a season and shooting with the biggest photographers and stylists in the world, including Inez and Vinoodh, Terry Richardson, Mert and Marcus, Steven Meisel, Willy Vanderperre, Bruce Weber and of course, Alasdair McLellan for her i-D cover feature. "I loved shooting with Alasdair, he's such fun to work with."

Lara Stone cannot walk in high heels and is the first to admit the fact, partly down to the fact that her feet a whole size smaller than the sample size, which is why she stomps rather than struts on the runway, more aggressor than mannequin. "I hate catwalk because 1) I'm not very good at it, 2) I'm always scared ****less and 3)... I suck at it. I cannot walk in heels. At all. I'm always completely terrified I'm going to fall over, which I did three times my first season. I fell over in London, Milan and in Paris. I had a Chanel fitting that afternoon and it was really embarrassing. I was like, 'Sorry Karl', he didn't have a clue what I was talking about!"

Under projected hair and make up ideals, Lara is always unmistakably Lara. She is a welcome addition in the ever-growing new Supermodel camp, along with Agyness Deyn, Jourdan Dunn, Natasha Poly, Du Juan and Raquel Zimmerman. These girls mark a welcome return to womanhood, the rise of the individual and a celebration of the female form in all its guises. A tonic in times of the weight debate, sadly, it looks like Lara's curvier shape hasn't kick started a trend. "I think it would be nice if I wasn't the only person with tits and an arse, but I am. I don't know how things are ever going to change, I agree that some girls are too skinny, but most girls are alright. I don't think I'm starting a trend because it has been about two years since I started getting covers."

Back to the subject of Lara's breasts. They are ample in comparison to most normal fashion models, but decidedly average when it comes to real life. Well, most of the time as a recent over the shoulder, boulder holder buying experiences attests. "My bra size differs a lot. The bra I'm wearing is a 34C but the other day I had to buy an E cup! I don't know what happened..." More often than not, Lara appears in magazines out of clothes, due to the obsession with her body but being au naturelle is something this sexpot hardly bats an eyelash at. "When I was 16, being naked was a problem, but it has never really been an issue for me. Better naked than wearing really tight corsets. I don't put myself in situations that I feel uncomfortable with, you know, someday my children are going to see this. My tits are not really that big. Next season I might go for a more dressed up Lara, like a librarian or something."

I'm sure Lara's mother (who shares her lips, but not her teeth, "no one has these teeth") would approve if she does. "Everyday my mum looks at style.com and fashionspot.com to see my pictures. The first time she saw me naked she sent this whole long big email, that was sooo sweet. She had seen the pictures from Purple by Inez and Vinoodh of me, butt naked, stood in the studio. She was like 'Lara, if you don't want to do this, you can just say no, you can always move back home with us'. She's so sweet."

Self effacing, Lara coyly says she never look sexy, even though she constantly looks like she just crawled out of a compromising situation and claims her teeth are nothing special, a dental mistake and a tad yellow. "When I was little the family dentist insisted that when I grew my wisdom teeth my teeth would grow back together. Now every time I go to the dentist they always say, 'you really need to fix that gap of yours' I'm like, 'my gap is paying your dentist bills...'"

Her permanent scowl betrays her inner mood, but although she may seem intimidating, a little daunting, maybe even a tad rude, the reality of the matter is, well, she is a bit of a soft boiled egg, all hard exterior with something gooey and delicious underneath, exposed as soon as you start to crack her and get a glimpse of the real Lara. "I am generally grumpy and moody, I think because I'm shy. If I'm moody then generally I don't have to talk to anyone, except if I like somebody. It always takes a while. That is why you thought I was terrifying! In reality I'm just a big wuss and a big geek."

Her sometimes-abrupt turn of phrase and direct stare slips to expose the geek she was referring to when asked about her favourite films... "I really like Paris, Texas, it's so intriguing and pretty and the girl is so beautiful." So far so cool, "And I really like..." go on, "no, I can't say..." yes you can - "Love Actually!"

Lara is a girl with attitude, she doesn't so much as have a chip on her shoulder, more like a lightly salted pack of French fries, quite lucky really seeing as pommes frites are her favourite things to eat. "With mayonnaise, not ketchup, I'm Dutch! Have you never seen Pulp Fiction?"

She dresses in Rick Owen, top to toe, but would choose to wear her newly purchased Alaia heels and a Balmain dress if going out for the evening. A lot of drinking would surely follow such proceedings, but never any dancing. "At the moment vodka is my favourite drink, with soda, it used to be whiskey for a very long time but I kept having blackouts so I switched, but I can't dance and I don't have any sense of rhythm or balance. Yesterday I was really good and went home at 1 o'clock. Today I'm planning a pub crawl because I have never been on a proper pub crawl and I want to move to London because I love pubs."

Lara passes the time with one of her four iPods and likes to listen to "anything depressing. Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now is my favourite song, I'm convinced Morrissey wrote it about me," she says. After finishing her wine, we are ready to start the shoot and the topic of conversation swerves for the last time to her magnificent mammary glands. "Stop making me blush," she coyly laughs. "I sometimes think I'm too shy for my job!"

Reese and Olivier's Oh So Charming Vogue US Nov.

We have a HQ in here thanks to the scanning goddess LUXX. Click to see large.

The cover...Where should we start all over this time?
Hair-do, sucking on a 3 years old style, Make-up, trying to hard, we get it, now its natural beauty time.
And the dress brutally cut under the bust line, so they are selling Reese's head and smile! Oh.. and the choice.. so Random, just becos she hooks up with Jake.G?

BUT, the inside editorial, they save it for all. Maybe its the Olivier Theyskens aura, all of a sudden the middle aged tacky cover boomed into a high fashion sassy cool. We Love It! Just dont keep reminding yourself this is worked by Mario and you will feel a whole lot better.

Spring 2009 Campaigns Casting ! Let the Rumours Fly !

Yes, it's about that time!
Spring 2009 advertising campaigns are casting, which means we're in the thickest model gossip we'll enjoy all season. And it's flowing fast and hard. The Imagist has heard Calvin Klein's men's campaign will cast multiple men (heard: AJ, Courtney, Blaine, Mat are on set but discussing) while the women's campaign will star only one gal. Yesterday an anonymous tipster wrote:

For Calvin Women's they originally wanted Kate Moss to do it, she obviously refused to wear those clothes. So then they asked Christie Turlington, she also refused. So they got Anna Selezneva to do it.......

"Suvi Koponen stars in Calvin's fall campaign, but Anna seems like a good possibility for the spring ads. The 18-year-old Russian model walked the Calvin Klein runway show in New York as an exclusive — often a sign of a future campaign star."

...That was like 20 hours ago, Now we have a confirmation, Anna Maria Jagodzinska, Anna Selezneva, Edita Vilkeviciute are doing CK jeans by Steven Meisel. So the hit with both jeans and main line land on the same girl.... chances are... you tell me about it.

As for other houses, the Imagist reports Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin will shoot
Givenchy's campaign in New York and Tyson Beckford will probably star in Dsquared2's. And word on the Fashion Spot is Claudia Schiffer won't return for another season of Chanel. We can live with that — it's not like she has trouble paying the gas bill.

And page turnings from now, we have word that Angela Lindvall, Heidi Mount, Irina L are shooting Tiffany's right this moment! Of cos by Michael Thomson again. Our ultimate goddess Angela also got Jimmy Choo! Woohoo! And Super Mom Isabeli Fontana is shooting Chanel Beauty's!

Ladies and gentlemen, modelhommes went down again, but the good news is that prada resort campaign is out ! (on the right)

And since grapes doesnt really care about what the hack D&G and full-name guna do, so go with it and help yourself.....OMG, only one boy for Calvin MENS now, thats AJ. Le Baron did not like courtney matt and blaine together. So sad...So..we have to run out of town and give Jason a warm hug, his probably under some serious break-downs due to the bush-cuts of his boys. = =
Yeah...I m running...Just so you know while I m running MH get back on line now.
STAY TUNE.

Former Dior Homme Model Randy Johnston Passes Away

Under unknown circumstances, Ford model Randy Johnston passed away October 11. The 20 year-old from Connecticut is currently being memorialized on Ford's web site, and his resume was highlighted by a turn as Dior Homme campaign model under Hedi Slimane for Fall 2007. He also appears in the November 2008 issue of i-D with Lara Stone. May he rest in peace.

Dior's Newest Cherie

How many perfume ads do you need really.... Ever since Reily and then moved to Lily.D, and then this thing walked in. My dior cherie stocked in 2005 still got half of it in the bottle, the bow dropped all the time though.

Prince Pierre out and about

No, This is not a franc belle epoque Movie on set. This is the prince of Monaco in reality!

And yes, he looks exactly like what Nicolas Duvauchelle had done to Louis Vuitton for the new season's campaign. As the matter of fact, if you care for tracing back the date, Pierre got all of this style way ahead of  the vuittoners came up with the idea. We guess the "getting idea around the world" crap brought by designers actually worked up in here, Look at the last picture, the real muse really getting around in handy !

Grapes hasnt dig it enough, so she has to say it like this: What Pierre is rocking in those shots really makes the Gossip Girl Princes look like a holy mess of craps, besides all the Grace Kelly/ Royal Highness due, one thing is for sure, Effortless super-stylish comes from effort attitude immersion.
